Betrayed

The pain of being betrayed by a close friend

Have you ever felt like you were betrayed by someone close to you? Betrayal by your inner circle can be one of the most painful experiences to go through. But guess what? You're not alone because Jesus understands what ypu're going through. Even Jesus, the sinless Son of God, experienced betrayal by someone within his inner circle.

Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve disciples chosen by Jesus himself. Judas witnessed all the miracles and teachings of Jesus, but Judas still chose to betray His Trainer. It's hard to wrap our heads around why someone would betray a friend who had done so much for them.

Judas wasn't just an innocent bystander. The Bible tells us that Satan entered Judas after he made the decision to betray Jesus. It was a conscious choice that Judas made, despite everything Jesus had done for him.

And the price of this betrayal? Thirty pieces of silver, which was merely the price of a slave. Judas sold out his Friend and Teacher for a measly sum of money. It's a stark reminder of how greed and selfishness can lead us down a dark path into destruction.

But have confidence in God none the less - this betrayal was ultimately part of God's plan. God was always in control and sovereign over the situation. Even in the midst of betrayal, God's purpose was being fulfilled.

So if you've ever felt betrayed by someone in your inner circle, take heart. You're in God's hand. And remember, God is still in control, even in the midst of betrayal. Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
